I think I will too. Nice though it is to just dial the destination into the GPS, I like the challenge of "old-fashioned" dead reckoning/radio navigation as well. Looking forward to it! (Now if only we can get a nice vintage Electra…)

The peninsula in the background of the first pic houses a "secret" Chinese submarine base hat can be seen on Google Earth. It can also be seen as I depart Hainan in the third picture.

In the fourth and fifth pics you see me frolicking around the Paracel Islands in the South China Sea.They are claimed by both the PRC and Vietnam, but China holds a naval outpost on the one with the strip, Woody's Island.

I love it the way it is, but on the AVSIM Screen Shots Forum, people were asking me why the fuselage is so "grey", and I just don't know what to answer. Maybe it's because of the reflections or a cloud shadow, but I only had a few very high cirrus clouds.

I think it just looks grey because the photoscenery in the background has very bright sunlight, while X-Plane's lighting is a bit more "low-key."
