:geek: The flying is much smoother and realistic from the pilot-eye point of view.
The third-person view is nice to watch the aircraft and look around,
but for forward flying, esp racing and proximity to obstacles, first-person view is best.

:geek: Needless to say...

Grand Theft Auto Online: Half a Million GTA$ Stimulus Package this Month
Posted 1 day, 11 hours ago | Author: R* Q | Filed Under: Games, Social Club

Money in the Bank

Given some of the recent technical issues during these first days of GTA Online, and now that things are starting to look much smoother (touch wood!), we are planning to provide a special stimulus package for all who have played or will play Grand Theft Auto Online this month. We will be dropping a cool half a million GTA$ in the GTA Online bank accounts of all players this month, starting as early as next week.

‘Don’t Spend It All in One Place!’

In order to keep the current worldwide in-game economy balanced, we will be providing this GTA$ to players via two deposits of $250,000. We will announce specific dates as soon as possible, but are currently hoping to be able to make the first deposit by the end of next week (after we’ve confirmed that issues causing game progress loss have been fixed) with the second installment to happen by the end of the month. For players who experienced cloud server errors, connection issues, and lost game progress and characters in these first days of GTA Online, we hope this GTA$ helps to facilitate a fresh start or makes your continued life in Los Santos and Blaine County extra sweet.

Below are a few more details on how it will work. Stay tuned for tips on how to make the most of GTA$ cash, info on ways and places to earn more cash fast, as well as updates on all the new GTA Online content additions we’re working on for this fall and beyond.

You must play or have played Grand Theft Auto Online at any time during the month of October 2013 in order to qualify for the GTA$500,000 deposit in your in-game bank account.
Players will first have to install a forthcoming GTAV title update which we expect to happen next week. That title update (1.04) is expected to fix the remaining instances of issues that have caused vehicle purchase loss and will also enable the functionality through which we’ll be providing this GTA$ stimulus cash to players.
We will announce at the Rockstar Newswire when each deposit is made.
Each of the two GTA$250,000 deposits will be made by Rockstar and should automatically appear in the in-game GTA Online bank accounts of eligible players. Beyond downloading the forthcoming title update mentioned above, there should not be any additional special action required by eligible players to redeem.

Hi everyone,
For those that are still having any technical issues, as mentioned above there is a title update coming next week that will include more fixes including the vehicle loss one – and we will remain committed to continuing to fine-tune the game to address any and all issues to get GTA Online running as smooth as possible. Please remember to visit the Rockstar Support site at http://support.rockstargames.com for the latest info or to report your problem if you don’t see it there.
For those asking about their lost characters or rank, those will not be able to be restored so we sincerely hope that this cash stimulus we’re giving out this month will help you get back on your feet or to make your new life in Los Santos & Blaine extra sweet.
For those asking about other forthcoming GTA Online content such as Heists, those are indeed in the works and we hope to provide an update with release timing soon.
Thanks all

Fixes an issue that caused personal vehicles to be duplicated
Fixes an issue where some players were unable to pay utility bills on an owned apartment or house
Fixes an issue where players were not getting Crew invites in-game
Fixes an issue where the starting point for the tutorial race was not appearing

Grand Theft Auto Online Update

October 25, 2013 12:42PM | Author: R* Q

Get ready to drop some sea shells with all new vehicles, weaponry and a load of new Jobs that are coming in November with the Beach Bum Pack.
Thank you to everyone for joining in GTA Online throughout this first month of its release, for all of your awesome Online Snapmatic pics and Crew videos that we’ve spotted, for your patience and understanding as we’ve been working through the initial teething issues of launching an online experience like this, and for your excellent feedback to the official GTAOnline@rockstargames.com email address. Please keep it coming as it is really helping us plan for the future of the game. Here’s a quick update for all Grand Theft Auto Online players worldwide on what’s in store in the immediate future.

THE GTA$ STIMULUS PACKAGE
We know many of you are anxiously waiting for us to show you the GTA$ Stimulus Package money we announced a couple weeks back. As mentioned in that post, we of course want to ensure that game progress loss issues are sufficiently sorted before distributing the GTA$ to everyone. We have a few more tweaks and fixes to make in a new title update that will hit sometime next week and then we will distribute the cash.

THE BEACH BUM PACK
Coming in early November will be the first add-on content update, the Beach Bum Pack which will bring all-new beach themed vehicles and new weaponry that you’ll be able to use in both GTA Online and Story Mode. Plus new customization options for your GTA Online character including new tats, hairstyles and more. We’ll also be adding lots of brand new action-packed Jobs to play with Gang Attacks, Survivals, Last Team Standings, Parachutes, Deathmatches and Races that will have you bloodying up the waters and coastlines of the finest beach resorts across Los Santos and Blaine County.

THE CONTENT CREATOR
We are also working to bring you the debut of the first part of the GTA Online Content Creator this fall – giving players the ability to craft, publish, rate and play custom-made Deathmatch and Race Jobs. We’ll be keeping our eye open for exceptional ones that we’ll be stamping as ‘Rockstar Verified’ and will be featuring them here at the Newswire and as part of forthcoming GTA Online Social Club Events. Both the Content Creator and the Beach Bum Pack are free.

SOCIAL CLUB EVENT WEEKENDS
Starting in November will be the first Grand Theft Auto Online Social Club Event weekends which will bring special rewards and bonuses ranging from limited-edition in-game Event Crate Drops to in-game discount specials and even a special new GTA Online live-stream show hosted by Rockstar at the Social Club Events page and Rockstar Games Twitch page – plus prize pack giveaways of hard to find GTAV gear and more.

Stay tuned as we hope to have more information with more details and specific timings on these content updates as well as on GTA Online Heists and the new GTA Online Capture the Flag mode to share with you next week. We will also have initial details on more additional content coming for both Story Mode and GTA Online in the next few weeks.

:geek: One thing that is a smidge frustrating is that it's impossible (for me) to get any action shots (or videos). stills only of things parked. There have been an epic series of adventures, jobs (missions), and things that were quite amazing sights to see, of action. Many jobs feature, need be, or can be done by way of aircraft. Jobs, aka Missions... omg who knew, just like the 'missions' here... are micro story tasks to do for job sources.

Here's one of the classics that comes early in the rank scale;

New GTA Online Title Update 1.05
Posted 17 hours, 55 minutes ago | Author: R* Y | Filed Under: Games, Support

The newest automatic title update for GTA Online is now available for both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. As mentioned previously, this update addresses some residual issues where occasionally people's vehicles or vehicle modifications were disappearing due to a cloud save failure - as well as the other fixes mentioned below:

Built in measures to prevent users from losing their progress when there is a cloud outage
Built in a number of measures to protect players’ cash balances even if there are network problems
Fixed an issue where on rare occasions during network problems the player could lose their Online vehicle or mods after exiting GTA Online

Of course, if you're still experiencing any other technical problems, please visit our support website to contact our support team and subscribe to the GTA Online Launch Status article. You can also shoot us a quick message at the Rockstar Support Twitter.

We also encourage you to send any constructive gameplay feedback you have to us at our GTAOnline@rockstargames.com address, as we continue to monitor it for all the latest suggestions for tweaking and improving the experience of GTA Online.

On a related note, we anticipate the GTA$ Stimulus to be distributed in the next couple of days following this Title Update. The Stimulus will go out over the course of a full day once it's initiated so don't be alarmed if people on your friends list receive it before or later than you do. Enjoy and we certainly appreciate your patience and understanding as we sort out these remaining issues.

Update ... 1.08 is current. Likely to become 1.09 soon at approx the 24th I would guess.

I haven't mentioned .06, .07 bc they were issue fix's, w/o much content to speak of.

The BeachBumPack was pretty short lived for it's novelty, and very seasonally inappropriate. Beach/Summer content put out within December/Winter. *no sense*. But the BBP is it's own whole rant, I'm generally glad it's novelty has run it's course through the short attention span players and things are back to normal immature bozo antics & behavior.

I'll say this here briefly, I have more to say about the subj, but this will suffice for now. Some of the best flying I've done in a while has been in GTA V (online). Sadly though there is no replay or ability to take any such screenshots to capture it. Heli, Plane, landings, takeoffs, action, precision, daring, off-strip, on-roofs, under fire, on fire, pretty much you name it. I wish it were with LFX and NXR.. but the game provided aircraft are acceptable. Namely the Velum, the GTA version of the PA-46-350 Mirage

R* Q about 5 hours ago

Hi all, for those asking, the snowfall in Los Santos is expected on Christmas Day, not today on Christmas Eve. The special gear and discounts and Snapmatic filters however should be available now.
Any technical issues you may have with this or anything else, please as always refer or report them to http://support.rockstargames.com.
Also a reminder - if you have suggestions to make for GTA Online, making them here in the comments section won't help them get taken into consideration, please send them via email to GTAOnline@rockstargames.com. That's the official place where our devs review player feedback and ideas.

Happy Holidays everyone!
